What We Believe
We worship the One and only, true and living God – eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – who is the Creator, Redeemer, and Sanctifier. We love to praise our amazing God.
We receive the Bible as God’s inspired and unfailing Word to us, the fully authoritative and reliable statement of who God is, who we are, what we believe, and how we live. Our desire is to live according to God's word. It is good for us and the world that God loves.
We confess that our own efforts cannot save us from sin and death, and we are heartbroken at the world’s tragic brokenness and helplessness as consequences of human rebellion. We know that God is bigger than our sin and brokenness. His mercy and grace revealed to us in Jesus Christ prove that God's desire is for an unbreakable eternal relationship with all who believe and receive Jesus as their savior and Lord.
We rejoice, for God fully reconciles us by grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone as our Savior and Lord. God the Son entered the world as truly human; He was crucified for all our sins, rose from the dead, ascended into heaven, and is Lord of all. Thanks be to God for His unspeakable gift!
We have hope because the Holy Spirit pours God’s love into our hearts, incorporates us into the church, the body of Christ, and gives us grace and peace in lives of joyful service. We look for His kingdom to come and His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven through us.
We eagerly anticipate the glorious return of our Lord Jesus Christ who will judge the living and the dead. We celebrate life in Him and we invite all people to turn from death to life in Christ. Alleluia! Come, Lord Jesus!
We celebrate our humble Lutheran heritage of faith with gratitude in our hearts. Jesus is the author and perfector of our faith. Our hope is that Jesus leads us into radical life transformation for His name's sake, for the kingdom of God on earth as it is in heaven, and for the benefit of the world that He loves and came to save.
We’re eager to know you, and we’re excited to share with you the marvelous ways God is working in our church.
It won’t take long for you to discover that Good Shepherd is truly a family, rich in the relationships that matter most. Growing together, we worship, we serve, we laugh, we cry, we learn, and we reach out to our world with life-transforming truth. If you’ve been thinking, praying, searching, and hoping for a place to belong, we say…WELCOME!
